"Hard Pressed But Not Crushed" — This 5x7 (painting size is roughly 6.5x4.5) original peony watercolor painting is a special painting from my "Grace in the Storm" collection. The title of this painting is a line from 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. This verse conveys the concept of facing challenges and adversity with resilience and an unwavering spirit. It speaks of being pressed, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down, yet remaining uncrushed, not in despair, not abandoned, and not destroyed. It highlights the idea of enduring and overcoming hardships without being completely broken or defeated.
Each painting in this collection of work is a visual reminder of strength in the midst of adversity. Blending tranquility and turbulence, combining sharp details with gentle, blurred edges.
Each painting is full of movement and energy, but brings a sense of stability and calm.
Above all: These paintings are a reminder that complexity and peace can occupy the same space, and that even amidst life's storms, grace can prevail. My hope is that this painting can bring a sense of comfort and stregth each time you see it.
This painting will be shipped flat, unless it is purchased with a larger painting that requires rolling. The creation of this original painting involved generous amounts of paint and water. Due to the nature of this artistic process, the paper may not lie completely flat. However, it will still look beautiful when framed. For the best presentation, I suggest using a thick, natural white mat behind glass.
All paintings in this collection were made with the highest quality paints and paper, and will last for generations if properly cared for.
